Senior Solicitor/Assistant Head of Department – Family

We are seeking to recruit a Senior Family Solicitor / Assistant Head of Department to undertake senior level Family law fee earning work, both working remotely and within our Bristol office.

The position will suit an ambitious and proactive individual who is comfortable establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with our clients, as well as contributing to business development and growing the Family law portfolio.

 The Role:

This role will require the undertaking of fee earning work, working both independently and as a member of the team. The incumbent will be expected to maintain existing relations with the firm’s clients and to help build the family business. The role will also assist the Head of Personal Legal Services in the running of the family team.

What are we looking for?

  • 12 years + PQE
  • Have senior level experience in a Family Law practice.
  • Experience in managing and developing a family team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Good “hands on” family experience in divorce, finances, separation, children, cohabitation, and pre and post nuptial agreements.
  • Excellent client facing skills and the ability to nurture existing clients and third-party relationships as well as the ability to help develop new business and assist in networking events.
  • The ability to prioritise work and to work to strict timescales where required.
  • Technical proficiency and good IT skills.

Assistant Solicitor/ Associate Solicitor – Commercial Property 

We are seeking to recruit an Assistant Solicitor/ Associate Solicitor to join our Commercial Property team, both working remotely and within our Bristol office.

This position will suit an ambitious and proactive individual who is comfortable establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with our clients, as well as contributing to business development and growing the Commercial Property portfolio.

The Role:

This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated solicitor with ambition to work in the Commercial Property department. This role will require the undertaking of fee earning work, working both independently and as a member of the team, maintaining existing relations with the firm’s clients and to assist and help develop new relationships with new clients and third-party referrers.

What are we looking for?

  • Qualified Solicitors (3/7 years PQE)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadline and competing priorities.
  • Good “hands on” commercial property experience in Landlord and Tenant, secured lending work, investment sales and purchases.
  • Excellent client facing skills and the ability to nurture existing clients and third-party relationships as well as the ability to help develop new business and assist in networking events.
  • The ability to prioritise work and to work to strict timescales where required.
  • Technical proficiency and good IT skills.
  • Good academic background.

Residential Solicitor / Licensed Conveyancer / CILEX – Residential Property

We are seeking to recruit a Residential Solicitor / Licensed Conveyancer / CILEX to support the residential property team in delivering a full range of legal services, including sales and purchases, remortgages and transfers of ownership.

The Role:

The role will require the undertaking of fee earning work, working both independently and as a member of the team, maintaining existing relations with the firm’s clients and assist and help develop new relationships with third party referrers.

Marketing & Business Development Assistant

We are seeking to recruit a Marketing & Business Development Assistant to provide direct support to the Marketing and Business Development Manager, both working remotely and at our Bristol office.

You might be an ambitious graduate or a junior marketing executive working in an agency setting or in-house marketing role. The successful candidate will be organised and reliable, with excellent attention to detail and be confident in multi-tasking and prioritising workload. As part of a small marketing team, you will be hands-on and willing to pitch in, taking on every challenge as we embark on an ambitious marketing strategy.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Social Media: Creating and scheduling social media posts using Hootsuite, in line with the social media strategy, and assisting with analytics, data capture and reporting.
  • Events: Helping to organise GL events and providing on the day support for online and in-person events.
  • Marketing Content: Drafting marketing copy for the website, social media, press releases, proposal documents, legal directories, awards submissions, and general marketing collateral.
  • CRM: Assisting with the management and administration of the firm’s CRM database and mailing lists. Using e-marketing platforms to deliver regular e-comms.
  • Research & Training: Assist with compiling marketing reports, research projects and business development initiatives. Working with the team to develop internal training sessions to instil best practice across the firm across a range of marketing and business development activity. Attending training to develop own skills.

What we are looking for:

  • Excellent organisation and project management skills.
  • A proactive and positive can-do attitude with the ability to work independently at times.
  • Ability to manage own workload, multitask and prioritise.
  • Confident communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms and post scheduling tools.
  • Experience of creating graphics using tools such as Canva would be beneficial.

IT Training & Support Assistant

We are seeking to recruit an IT Training & Support Assistant to provide first line support and training to our staff, working remotely and at our Bristol office.

You might be someone who has enjoyed working in a customer facing role who is now looking to specialise in IT or training. You are not required to have had experience working in IT. The successful candidate will be a quick learner, with an enthusiasm to help others find IT success.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Training:

  • Continuously improve own skills and be knowledgeable of all our business applications and equipment (from an end-user perspective)
  • Work with the IT Manager and HR to create effective IT training and induction plans
  • Create and maintain intranet guidance articles and videos
  • Deliver ad hoc and scheduled IT training over Microsoft Teams or face-to-face
  • Prepare and maintain staff IT training records
  • Monitor and analyse training requirements, reporting trends to the IT Manager Support
  • Ensure all requests to IT are logged through the IT ticketing system and triage incoming tickets
  • Resolve IT Service Desk requests that can be solved with support/guidance/training
  • Escalate IT Service Desk requests to the IT Manager that are of an IT administration, fix or development nature
