How do I instruct a solicitor?

What documents do I need to instruct a solicitor?

Before we can act for any client, we must check identification. This is because we are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and to protect both our clients and our firm we must adhere to the regulations.

What happens at my first meeting with a solicitor?

This depends on the legal service you need although typically we will gather initial information from you, explain your options and advise you on the next steps.

How much does legal advice cost?

This will depend on the type of service you need and the details of your individual circumstances. Some services are based on fixed fees, and some will require a bespoke cost estimate based on the extent of work required. In both cases we will provide a cost estimate and explain your options at the outset.

Do you offer free consultations?

We are always happy to discuss your matter with you to help you decide if GL Law is the firm for you. Most of our legal teams then offer a fixed fee initial consultation which is the starting point for us to be able to properly advise you.

How do I make a complaint?
