Getting to know . . . Jonathan Wilson

19 September 2017 |

We are excited to welcome Jonathan Wilson to the Gregg Latchams family as part of the Commercial Property team – and we couldn’t help but corner him to ask those burning questions that we always like to know when someone new and exciting joins the team.

Why did you choose to join Gregg Latchams?

I was really impressed with the opportunities available in the Commercial Property team here at Gregg Latchams – I have a real ambition to grow and further develop my profession skills, and this is an excellent place to do that. It’s a bit of a gamble, but I’m confident that I’m up to the task.

Could you give a brief overview of your career to date?

Almost my entire career was at Wards, where I practised for 18 years and became a partner.

What sector do you specialise in, and what is your expertise?

For me, it is all about commercial property law. That is what I worked hard to become an expert in, so that my clients can benefit from my broad range of knowledge within this area.

What quality do you pride yourself on?

If I had to choose three qualities – because who can stick to one! – they would probably be that I am conscientious, hard-working, and direct. You never have to second guess what I’m thinking because I will always tell you openly, but I have a strong ethical code which ensures that I’m always working for the best interests of my clients.

What are you most proud of in your career so far?

To be honest: that I am still working and loving what I do! There are so many people who don’t gain any joy or satisfaction from what they do day-to-day, so I know that I am very fortunate to enjoy my professional life.

Please tell us a little known fact about yourself…

One of my life goals is to complete an Iron Man Triathlon: that’s a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile cycle, and then a marathon.
