All go for Brissco as Gregg Latchams advises on MBO

22 March 2017 |

Gregg Latchams has advised on the management buy out of Brissco (Equipment) Limited for an undisclosed sum.

Through its two business divisions – Brissco Plastics and Brissco Signs & Graphics – the company specialises in the manufacture of bespoke signs and graphics and the supply and fabrication of industrial, display, engineering and building plastic materials.

The company, which will celebrate 70 years in business next year, has a rich history and combines the latest manufacturing and printing technologies with traditional fabrication skills to ensure consistently accurate and high-quality results for its customers.

Phil Pope, Managing Director of Brissco Limited, commented:

“We are very excited and extremely grateful to the Page family for giving us the opportunity to carry out the purchase of Brissco (Equipment) Ltd which has been in their ownership since 1948. It is a wonderful opportunity for the management team and the employees to continue to take our successful business forward together for what we hope will be many more years to come.

Working with Gregg Latchams has been terrific. From the very outset of this quite complex process, their knowledge and business advice has been both excellent and reassuring. Being able to secure vital funding meant the deal went as smoothly as possible. They have been fundamental to the buyout and we look forward to continuing our working relationship in the future.”

Ed Boal, Associate Solicitor in our Corporate team, added:

“I am delighted for Kevin, Mandy and Philip and wish them the best of luck as they take Brissco forward into another chapter in its long and established history. I very much enjoyed working with them on this deal which, as is the case with most deals, had a few interesting twists and turns along the way which we were able to navigate successfully!”
