Gregg Latchams selected to deliver Start & Grow Webinars

26 August 2015 |

Gregg Latchams has been selected by Business West to deliver a series of webinars on legal issues, as part of its Start and Grow programme.

The series of four, one-hour webinars will cover:

  1.     Shares and shareholders, articles of association vs. shareholders’ agreements and directors’ duties and powers;
  2.     Hiring and firing employees, freelancers and consultants;
  3.     Terms and conditions, protecting intellectual property, confidentiality, data protection and online compliance; and
  4.     Consumer law

Scott Bladon, Project Manager and Start-up Advisor at Business West, comments:

    “The Start & Grow programme is aimed at supporting people who are looking for help in starting their new business, by assisting them in completing a robust business plan which can be used for their own direction or for external investment. Once the business has started trading the entrepreneur will receive 3 years of mentoring through one-on-one support, webinars and joining a start-up community via membership to a Alumni.

    Starting a business is a rewarding, challenging experience. Our entrepreneurs have really engaged with the webinars being run by Gregg Latchams. Having expert legal advice at hand through this media is proving to  be invaluable”.

Ed Boal, a solicitor from our Corporate and Commercial team, comments:

    “We are delighted to have been selected by Business West to deliver this legal webinar series.

    Gregg Latchams has considerable experience advising startups and early-stage businesses on a wide variety of legal issues covering company, consumer, data protection, employment and intellectual property law. We have developed a few options for working with these businesses to “take the sting” out of buying legal advice and ensuring that our clients are set up for success. For example, our NewCoBureau package provides businesses with all of the initial legal documentation that they require for a fixed price payable by 12 monthly instalments.

    I really enjoy working with these new and exciting businesses as it provides an opportunity to create long-lasting business relationships and develop a deep understanding of my clients’ needs.”
