  • Attendees will gain insight from his expertise through working with British Government
  • Q&A opportunity with the world’s leading expert on professions and the future

Bristol-based law firm, Gregg Latchams, will be welcoming internationally renowned expert in economics and policy, Daniel Susskind, to their quarterly GL Business Network event to speak on AI and the Future of the Professions on Tuesday 27th June at the Watershed.

Hosted by the Professional & Regulatory Services Sector team, the event will begin at 2pm with some time for networking, followed by a talk from Daniel Susskind himself. The Q&A with the economist and co-author will be an excellent opportunity for attendees to pick his brain on all things AI, and afternoon tea and further networking will complete the afternoon at 5:30pm.

This highly anticipated event has drawn experts from multiple fields across Bristol and the surrounding area, with many intrigued to hear Daniel Susskind speak on his area of expertise: the shifting changes that are occurring to the professions which many people spend decades training for and perfecting.

His bestselling book, The Future of Professions, was co-written with his father Richard Susskind, and together they have led the way for decades in our understanding of professions and the direction that careers are moving. This widely acclaimed book was Financial Times ‘Book of the Year’, Times Literary Supplement ‘Book of 2016’ and New Scientist ‘Best Read of 2015’. Their books are collectively considered essential reading for all lawyers who are striving to stay relevant in the legal landscape, and Daniel’s approach to AI will undoubtedly spark much discussion. Spaces are limited, so sign up to secure your place here.

This event is being organised by the Professional & Regulatory Services Sector Team, who provide clear, user-friendly commercial and regulatory advice aimed at helping professionals avoid future problems.

Gregg Latchams hosts a series of client focused events such as a monthly Construction Breakfast, a Curry Club, a Lawyers’ Forum, plus ad hoc Law in a Pint Glass and Tech Social gatherings.
