Gregg Latchams Welcomes Three New Starters

11 May 2018 |

We are excited to welcome three new lawyers to our ranks, growing the Family departments in Bristol and London as well as adding to the Dispute Resolution team. The new starters bring a wealth of experience – including dealing with international clients – along with specialist knowledge, providing additional assets to the firm’s expertise.

Melanie Bataillard-Samuel joins us as a Senior Associate from Hodge Jones & Allen Solicitors in London, having previously worked for a number of London firms over the last decade. Melanie qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and provides advice, guidance and support to clients going through a separation. A native French speaker and conversant in a number of other languages, Melanie maintains a strong profile with the French community in London and is well placed to advise international clients on family law. Melanie was elected onto the Resolution National Committee in April of this year.

Joining as an Associate Solicitor in the Family dept. in Bristol, Jennifer Pollock moves from her role as solicitor at Burroughs Day, having trained at Davies and Partners and qualified in 2009, working previously in both Bristol and Gloucester. Jennifer brings substantial experience dealing with disputes involving children and financial issues arising upon both separation and divorce. Jennifer has also advised numerous overseas clients as well as those with property and assets in foreign jurisdictions.

Commenting on the new additions to the team, James Myatt, Director and Head of Family at Gregg Latchams, said: “I am delighted to be working with solicitors of the calibre of Melanie and Jennifer. Their credentials speak for themselves. Their expertise is very important and adds a new dimension to both our Bristol and London offices as we grow and continue to advise clients locally and internationally.”

Also joining Gregg Latchams is solicitor James Tithecott who has moved from TLT, where he trained, having qualified in 2016. James joins the Commercial Dispute Resolution department. As a litigator, James specialises in financial services disputes, contractual issues and landlord and tenant disputes, and will be working closely with Director and Head of Commercial Dispute Resolution, Richard Gore, who commented:

“James has already proven himself at TLT and has an exceptionally bright future ahead of him. He is very skilled in all aspects of commercial litigation and I am excited to have him join my team.”
