Walking to help those in need: Bristol #legalwalk
On Monday 18 September a team of 8 walkers and a sausage dog from Gregg Latchams will take part in the 2017 annual Bristol Legal Walk.
The Bristol Legal Walk is a 10km sponsored walk around Bristol and the city sights to raise money for local advice services.
The need for free legal advice centres has grown in the past few years as the recession increased poverty and reduced support services. Meanwhile, there has been a huge reduction in government and local authority funding.
The organisations which are supported by the Bristol legal walk:
- Prevent families being made homeless
- Prevent destitution
- Help older people gain the support to which they are entitled
- Help women and children who have been trafficked for domestic servitude or prostitution.
Gregg Latchams are excited to be involved in the walk and will be aiming to raise £500 to support these organisations. All donations are gratefully received and our fundraising page can be found at My Donate.
