We’ve been shortlisted in five categories at the Bristol Law Society Awards

30 September 2019 | Richard Hill

We have been shortlisted in five categories at the annual Bristol Law Society Awards, in recognition of the company’s thriving success in the regional market.

In addition to Law Firm of the Year (under 20 partners), we are a finalist in the Community Engagement Law Firm of the Year category, which reflects the extensive work the company does to support charitable initiatives in the city, including Julian House, North Bristol Foodbank, Missing Link and Feeding Bristol.

Heledd Wyn, Gregg Latchams’ Associate Director and Head of Long Term and Elderly Care is shortlisted for Lawyer of the Year. Offering full consultancy services relating to estate planning, long-term care and asset protection, Heledd also specialises in making applications to the Court of Protection on behalf of those who lack capacity to make decisions for themselves.

Outside of work, Heledd is a founding member of the Pragmatic Practitioners, a group aiming for better, more professional assistance for people at difficult times in their lives.

Employment solicitor Cecily Donoghue is shortlisted in the Junior Lawyer of the Year category. Cecily, who joined Gregg Latchams in 2017, has experience assisting employers, business owners and senior executives on a wide range of employment issues including document support, day-to-day advisory issues, procedural support and the defending of tribunal claims.

Gregg Latchams’ In-House Lawyer service (IHL), headed up by Kieren Windsor, is in the running for Legal Innovators Award of the Year.

IHL has evolved the traditional transactional business model to a legal service from which the client receives more value, consistency and predictability. This flexible subscription service offers peace of mind, with open access to advisors and no concerns that cost, or opening new matters, will hinder advice provision.

Commenting on our award nominations, Managing Director of Gregg Latchams Richard Hill, said: “Our shortlisting across five distinct categories is testament to the quality of our senior legal experts who work incredibly hard to service our clients across 13 different specialisms, from corporate and commercial property to long-term care and private wealth.

“Gregg Latchams is going from strength to strength and I would like to personally congratulate those individuals who have contributed to our position as finalists in these awards.”
