David acts for clients in a range of disputes, from multi-million pound adjudications to party wall disputes, and also in the drafting of contract suites for large-scale developments.
David has been described by a London-based retail property developer as ‘very knowledgeable, with excellent service and speed of response as well as an advanced commercial awareness that culminated in his fantastic management of the settlement meeting’.
Another client said, ‘David was able to demystify the legal process for me and offer clear, measured advice at all times during the two years he worked on my claim. Always approachable, unflappable and timely in his responses, I had every confidence in David’s knowledge of Construction Law and ability to advise me and successfully negotiate a settlement on my behalf. My trust in him was implicit and I would not hesitate to recommend him to future clients of GL Law.’
David joined GL Law in May 2014, having worked for law firms in Los Angeles and Nottingham, and he previously worked for an international organisation for six years.
“David assisted my husband and I with an ongoing dispute with a cowboy builder. He was easy to work with and always kept our communications at our level so that we felt fully supported in what were extremely stressful times for us. We are extremely grateful to have had his expertise and his sympathetic ear when times were tough. We would have no hesitancy in recommending David and the team at GL Law - they were always professional in their approach and quick to respond to queries we had.”
“You provided down to earth advice and the confidence to pursue my claim when I first contacted you. From there on you and your staff provided sensible advice, explained the pros and cons whenever there were choices to be made, kept me well informed of progress and conducted negotiations with the defendant’s solicitors swiftly and with vigour. I felt that your advice and quality of service was second to none and looking back over the last 12 months I am certain that no other firm could have done a better job.”
“From start to finish we received an excellent service from GL Law, everything being explained in simple terms, and our issue resolved with a very professional and speedy service. We would highly recommend their services to anyone. ”
“David Morris of GL Law helped us with a problem concerning a council owned retaining wall which had been failing and an ongoing problem for almost six years. We found David to be very helpful, prompt and knowledgeable. He was a great mediator with the council and finalised an agreeable licence to commence work. We are happy to say the work is now progressing well.”
“We were very impressed with the quality of advice we received from GL in a recent successful attempt to achieve a party wall award with an extremely difficult cowboy builder who was constructing a house next to ours. David Morris was always available to advise on the right course of action and provided expert support and reassurance. I honestly don’t think we would have managed to get an award in place had it not been for his patience and determination.”
“The knowledge we got from David Morris on our contract was perfect and really assisted our negotiations. As we quoted the contract, the other side realised we were no longer messing around and knew we were willing to take action if we weren’t able to reach an agreement. That’s when the fair negotiations started, and we got a good result.”
